Why HomePoppy.com?

Short answer: HomePoppy.com was available as a website name. It’s a combination of home body and Poppy (which is what I hope E.V. will call me when she talks, like Mommy and Poppy).

The long answer:  I wanted a place to keep track of E.V.’s growth and exploits and easily share them with family in Texas. I also wanted a place to write down my own thoughts so that E.V. could come back years later and know a little bit more about her Poppy (especially if something happens to me, after all my father died fairly young). And so HomePoppy.com was born.

EV’s Adventures is a collection of visual media staring E.V. including her very popular photo comic strip.

Poppy’s Recipe Box is pretty much what it sounds like.  The kitchen is the heart of the home and I thought a recipe section would be a good idea!

Poppy’s Soapbox is a place for me to talk about things that don’t necessarily belong in a blog about family.  But it’s important to me that E.V. can look at this site and see what her Poppy though and (maybe even more importantly) why he thought that way.
